+ Where do you worship on Sunday if you don't have a church?
We build God's Kingdom each week at Rowe Middle School in Athens, Pa. Here's some directions
+ What can I expect during worship at Encounter?
We open with music from our worship team followed by a Bible-based message. We'll include some announcements, collect and offering and send you home with another worship song.
+ What can I expect as a first-time visitor?
You'll be greeted by one of our awesome Guest Services team members. If you have kids, they'll help you check them into Family Ministry and then help you find a seat in our worship center. We'll send you home with information about Encoutner and a CD of our worhship team.
+ What should I wear to worship at Encounter?
Come as you are! We don't have a dress code.

+ What do you have for children at Encounter?

+ Does Encounter offer communion?
Absolutely! Everyone who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior is welcome to participate in communion here. We generaly hold communion once a quarter.
+ Does Encounter offer baptisms?
Yes! We love to celelbrate new lives in Christ! We usually hold two baptism services a year – one outside in the summer at a local stream and the other during the winter months inside during a service. Find more information here
+ How do I dubmit a prayer request?
You can write your prayer requests on your Connection Card; everyone gets one on Sunday.
+ Don't I have to be a believer to attend church?
No – Encounter welcomes everyone. If you're just not sure about Jesus, we invite you to join us and find out more.
+ How does Encounter help the community?
We partner with several local agencies – The Bridge of the Penn York Valley Churches, The Sayre House of Hope and the Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center – throuhgout the year. Our annual Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway helps hundreds of families. Our Back to School Collection and Food for Thought Program supports children in the Athens Area School District.
